Here's what our patients say about us...
REGARDING LASIK:

REGARDING CK:
|
-
I was
legally blind without my glasses Anything beyond 10 inches from my
face was a total blur. Words cannot express how
excited I feel everyday to clearly see the world without depending
on glasses.
--Lori; Scuba Diver and Inventor of Scuba equipment
-
Both of my sisters-in-law had LASIK
with Dr. Sklar. I was skeptical because my glasses were so
much thicker than the ones they used to wear. I am so glad I
trusted their opinion and Dr. Sklar. My husband had his surgery
two weeks after mine. We are a very happy "LASIK” family.
--Debbie; wife, mother, attorney, RN
-
After losing my glasses in the lake
while jet skiing, I said, “It’s time for LASIK!"Now when
I am a "Weekend Warrior,” I experience the thrill of really
seeing, while engaging in various athletics. An added bonus is
being able to play with my son without him grabbing for my
glasses.
--Michael; "Weekend Warrior”
-
I don’t need glasses, even for
reading! When I had my LASIK consult, I was wearing glasses for
reading. Dr. Sklar said because of my particular prescription,
after LASIK I would have about 10 years of freedom reading
without glasses. I know this doesn’t happen for everyone, but for
me it’s great.
--Gordon; construction worker
-
We’re a "LASIK Family.” My wife
was a contact lens wearer. I only wore glasses for driving and
just put up with the blur without my glasses. Driving to Florida,
playing golf, and enjoying the scenery with just our own eyes was
awesome!
--Jim; Athlete
-
I hated my glasses but wearing contact
lenses around the dusty stables was not great either. I was so
scared about the procedure. However, Dr. Sklar and his staff put
me at ease, and I’m thrilled with my vision and the freedom I have
when riding my horse or just doing daily things.
--Lizabeth; Riding Enthusiast
-
As policeman I wanted to be rid of the
hassle of glasses. My vision after the surgery is great. An added
benefit is rarely losing the ball when I’m playing golf. My
golfing buddies tease me and say I have bionic vision. I have so
much confidence in Dr. Sklar that I referred my mother and father
to him for cataract surgery. We are all impressed with his
surgical skill, his rapport with patients, and his superb staff.
--Lieutenant Raymond; Policeman, Avid Golfer
-
A business contact referred Dr. Sklar
to me. Dr. Sklar had performed LASIK on him, but had done
cataract surgery on his wife. I was impressed that Dr.
Sklar's office wasn't just a "LASIK mill," but did all kinds of
eye surgery. I also immediately liked the manner and knowledge of
Patricia Dowen, Dr. Sklar's LASIK
coordinator. The fact that they had FREE
consultations, since some places charge $100 for this, was an
added bonus.
They did a thorough exam with over 10 tests to make sure I was a
candidate for LASIK. Even though I had a ton of astigmatism
and was wearing trifocals before surgery, I was reading
very small print right after surgery. LASIK surgery was one
of the best decisions I ever made.

Reading
glasses were such a pain. I had them in every room and in my
car and yet I could never find them when I needed them!
Having CK gave me the freedom to read like I did 10 year ago - no
glasses needed! --D.A.
-
Was I
afraid? Yes, I was. My grandfather was blind, and even
though I knew CK was an FDA-approved, safe procedure, I still had
some fear about the unknown. I'm so happy that I had CK.
I no longer have to search in my purse for my reading glasses when
I go shopping. --G.D.
-
I could
never find my reading glasses in time to read my Caller ID.
Fifteen minutes after my CK procedure, I could read the numerals
on my cell phone. --G.W.
-
I am
the envy of all of my friends. I can read menus and books
and price tags and phone numbers - without needing reading
glasses. My distance vision has also stayed great. I
am so glad that I had the CK procedure. --K.C.
-
Pain
was my biggest fear, and I truly didn't feel any pain during the
procedure. Afterwards, my eye felt a little scratchy, but
that feeling went away in a few hours. I tell all my
friends: "Go Do It" --J.R.
-
What do
I like best about CK? I never have to reach for my glasses. Today, I counted how many pairs I have (and no longer need!):
4 in the house; 2 at work; 1 in the car; and 1 in the suitcase.
Now I can read everything without glasses. It's great! --J.P.
